Himvis helps build high quality software products and processes, deploying open source methodologies and tools. The work centres on embedded Linux: compilers and toolchains, Yocto Project and OpenEmbedded, LLVM and Clang, and the distribution engineering that holds it together.

This site carries two kinds of writing. Long-form technical posts cover that engineering work in depth. Shorter daily posts — the ramblings — are about mindset and craft: knowing your own approaches to productivity, and keeping an inner voice audible under a deluge of information and technology. They go out as a newsletter each weekday.
